There is a wonderful forum that I have been using for all my video work for the past two or so years. If focuses on all of video and video production, but also supports mostly Canon cameras, namely the XL1s and the new XL2. The URL of the forum main page is as follows:

I did a searche on Google but did not pickup this one. The others are not to my liking.

I bought the XL2 but I am a total video amateur. I'll have to learn everything from the start.

nic...what is wrong with your xl2? I havent played around with one much, but i know their line pretty well

I don't think anything is wrong with it, I just think he wants to learn about it and how to put it to best use.
