Well I just gave it a quick try and I'm impressed. It's certainly more responsive than PS CS. Hopefully I'll get some worthy shots this weekend and give it a better workout. Since C1 won't have 20D support for a while I kinda hope that I still like C1 since switching would cost more.

I took this shot this evening and used Bibble to process it to a 16-bit TIFF file. Then PS CS for the final work.

I also downloaded Bibble, it took a while due to high traffic on their website.

I took one of my newest photos from 20D and converted it both with PS CS and Bibble. Guess which is from which converter.
?

Both images was resized for web in PS CS.

My guess: The first one is from Bibble! The second one has the typical lack of contrast and subdued colours that I'd expect from Adobe Camera Raw.

I'll give Bibble a try later today when I'm at home. At first sight it looks really nice, maybe serious competition for Capture One.

One interesting thing is that it's not only available for Windows and Mac OS but also for Linux.

Yeah so far I like Bibble. I will test a few more photos.

And Yes the first image was converted with Bibble. The thing I like about Bibble is that with this image I had to do minimal adjustments, but with PS I would have to adjust more parameters to get the same result.

C1 SE and PRO is too expensive so if I buy a new convertor I think it will be Bibble. The pro version is just $149.

i got a copy for myself last night as well, haven't yet had a chance to fully give it a test run, will do it soon and post results.

$149 for pro version is very tempting comparing to C1's price tag.

According to the website the Pro version is $129, not $149, but I don't know what taxes etc. will be added.

What are the limitations in the demo version?

Not sure there are any limits.

There are no limits in the demo, but there are between the $129 Pro and the $69 non-pro version. The PS Plugin is one, multi-threading another. http://www.bibblelabs.com/products/bibble/features.html

I've just downloaded & installed the Pro version.

Well, ofcourse there is a limit, because they're not giving away the program for free - the trial version works for 14 days... but no other limitations.

First impressions: nice program, both previewing / editing and the actual RAW processing are MUCH faster than CaptureOne! I already have CaptureOne LE so I don't really need Bibble - I'll play with it the coming time and see if it has a feature that can convince me to buy it.

Does any one use the DPP software that came with the 20D? I have had no time to play with it but I have read some positives. Seems like a reasonable solution considering the price of C1 or Bibble. Thanks.

If you go to File... Preferences... Browser there's a check-box labeled "I don't like cats."

ROFLMAO.

I like cats, but that's pretty funny.

I was wondering how I could remove that silly cat thumbnail in the browser.

The programmers have humor thats nice.

I really like this program. Alone the fact that I can crop and do the conversion in one step.

Another great thing is the work queues, gather images from different folders and put them in one queue then work through that queue without the original files being copied to a new location. I am working on grouping all my photos from the zoo and reprocess them. I started this by looking through all the folders of original images for the specific images and copy them to a new folder so I had them grouped. Now that work is much easier.

And in my opinion Bibble is easier to work with than C1.

Add to that that support (http://support.bibblelabs.com/webboard/index.php) from the programmers is prompt when posting questions on their forum.

I definately think I will buy this in a week or so.
