One of the best cards out there. You did just fine.

I purchased the same type but in 2GB size during Radio Shack's Black Friday sale. I'll be purchasing my XTi in the first week of March with a 18-55 IS. Where are you located in FL, Depth?

Brandon :)

I use to live in Brandon about 18 years ago...then moved to Carollwood now back in the Northeast...When I lived there they were just clearing the land for that big mall and Rte 60 was only 2 lanes....lol.....I don't miss the congestion of the Tampa area....

Good CF card BTW....

Great card, and I've been wanting a 4GB myself. One of these days I'll buy one. I have a couple of 1GB ones that I purchased back in the day when I bought my XT and I have a ton of 2GB ones, but NEED a 4GB.

Very good purchase, but the XTi is a better purchase.

I'm using the 4gb Extreme III...probably not much difference from the Ultra II...great choice

I have three copies of exactly the same card. No problems whatsoever.

I've been using Sandisk since I broke into digital. Never had a problem with them.

I am using the Extreme III in my 1D. If I use the Ultra II I notice a slowdown in speed. The Ultra II works great in my 20D and 30D. Fast enough for those cameras.

If you shoot in Raw, get a bigger card. Carrying multiple cards can be hazardous - if you lose one. Also check your card -practice shots to make sure the new card is not a dud. This happens, if you follow in these forums many a sad story !!!

The other school of thought says that using fewer, larger cards can be hazardous, because when you lose one basket (or it becomes unreadable), you lose more eggs. I get over 100 shots per 2 GB card, and I shoot RAW.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was reading that last post. I follow Maxdaves school of thought.

I've been using the Extreme line since day 1 and I'm sold on these cards.

I have the same memory card (4GB SanDisk Ultra). Works fine in my 40D and my previously owned XTi.

I just hope you didn't buy it on eBay. The one's selling on eBay - especially the ones coming from Hong Kong / China are well known for being fakes.
