Hi group. I'm planning a move to digital after many years of shooting 35 mm lugging around a Nikon F3, usually with motor drive and sports finder plus a bag full of lenses and accessories. I want something light and small that will yield good results. I am considering either a G6 or A95 and would like to hear what others have to say about either of these or other cameras worthy of consideration. Thanks for any replies....Don

Both of those are fine cameras with a full range of options, both manual and auto. I have the A80 (predecessor to the A95) and am very happy with it.

I don't think someone wants to downgrade from SLRs to fixed lenses pocket cameras.Go buy something like the 10D or the cheaper Digital Rebel.

Hey, he said he wanted something small and light after carrying around his F3 and kit. Those models were specifically named, so we can only assume he's done his market research and is asking for user input. I love my D60 and 20D, and the [mumble] lenses and other accessories I have for them but I still carry the A80 everywhere, not the DSLRs. They come out when I expect to use them, and the A80 tags along even then.
