Here are a few more from our Pee Wee AAA tourney last week. Again, all shot at 3200 ISO, f2.8-3.5 (depending on which end of ice), 1/500, RAW, evaluative metering, all of these shots from up above stands. C+C appreciated. If you are really keen (or really bored!) and want to see all the shots from our 5 games in the tourney, please head to www.cjscons.com/peewee and scroll down to bottom right of page. Feel free to browse our other game shots as well.

They're nicely timed shots. Curious....what did you do in the PP for these? Some looked oversharpened and have the whites blown.

Super action shots! You've got a great feel for the game. These look very good for ISO3200, but I imagine they wouldn't print very well at any sort of enlarged size. Have you tried? #2 is smashing! I love goalie shots and this one's a beauty.

Darsk...I use Lightroom and usually I bump up the exposure so that things look in balance (ie getting ice white but not too white)...I seem to tend toward bumping things up too much and I struggle with that each time (need to either better calibrate monitor or get new one!). I also do some sharpening, although ususally not too much. Again, my older monitor may be deceiving me in this regard as I have posted images elsewhere that others have said are oversharpened. I will also tweak the noise reduction sliders a bit (these seem to work well) and minor tweaks to white balance as needed. Thanks for the clues.

Alan...I have printed many of these up to an 8.5 x 11 size (including one from my other PW Tournament thread) and generally the results are very good at that size. I have not tried anything larger than that as I think it would be too grainy. I may try with some of these though just to see. Yep I like the goalie shot too as it is my son!

Thanks for the input guys.

Cheers!

Chris
