Hi I need help on purchasing a new camera bag. I have just a cheap o. And want one that will hold my 300D Rebel & lens. The one I have is too small. For all my gear lens and accessory. what is a good choice?

that will hold the rebel with the lens attach with 75-300 with out having to take it off each time to put in bag?

Bags are tough. You really should take the camera and a couple of your bigger items (another lens, flash, etc) and check out some bags in a store.

You can get some recommendations here, I'm sure. But there are tons of styles, like toploaders, backpacks, "slinger" backpacks, simple bags, waterproof/weather-resitant ones, etc, etc. Do you have a preference for style? Or how do you wish to carry it (backpack, or like a pocket-book, etc)?

Bags aren't easy. Just wait until you have a ton of gear. :D

I just want a nice size bag nothing fancy. Just as long as it will hold my camera and like 3 lenes and etc + flash. And I prefer the pocket-book style that has the shoulder strap. I don't care to much for the backpacks.

thanks Scottes, for your help.

Gail,
Checkout the LowePro Nova series. Excellent quality. The Nova 4 should suit your needs for now until you start collecting those long white "L" zooms

Gail,
I recently purchased a Tamrac Velocity 3 Model 5743 (www.tamrac.com)to carry my 300D (Drebel) 75-300 IS lens, 18-55 and 50mm MkII lens and find it perfect. I like the compact size and slim profile. It won't be very useful once I get more lenses but in the meantime I think it's perfect.

Domke - for your specs, maybe the F3 or F5. Good, sturdy canvas bags that wear like iron.
