Hi, just downloaded stills from recent trip into Zoombrowser successfully except for movies my son took. Error message came up on PC and no download. I'm sure there is a very basic explanation for this but could not find in Canon Manual. The movies recorded fine with sound and displayed in LCD and through television.Your help will be much appreciated by my 11yr old son but probably not by his mum, the subject of his candid reporting style!
Thanks Darsee.

It might help to tell us what the error message said.

Am I getting this right - you can't get the movies off your camera at all? Or can you see them in ZoomBrowser but can't play them?

Greetings,
Tim

Tim, thanks for replying. The error message just came up ' Error downloading' on PC. Movie recorded fine on camera and played back ok in camera but just would not download to Zoombrowser on PC. I thought maybe some other software program was required for movie download.

Can you try and bypass zoombrowser and download to a folder?

Go to the folder and clicking on it should launch Windows media player or other such as quicktime.

You don't need any other software to view the movie, the exception being if you try to view/edit in Adobe premier.

What version of Windows are you running (if XP, or 2000, which service pack?). What other devices do you have connected to your computer? Do you have a card reader? Is the camera plugged into a front or rear USB port?

Check your communications...it must be set to "Normal"...it won't work in ptp.
