I just upgraded to OSX Leopard 10.5 and tried to launch DPP 3.1.0.5 and found all frames grayed out - no image. I realize there is a DPP 3.2 but it says only for 10.1 - 10.4.

I recall having this problem once before but do not remember the fix. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. The upgrade actually went pretty well.... this is only issue...so far ;-)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Scott

Scott,

I have leopard and I am using DPP 3.2.0.6 and do not have any issues at all. Check Canon's web site and download the update, you shouldn't have any problems.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Jeff & gvg45..... thanks very much for your quick response. Unfortunately, I'm not having any luck. I did as you suggested and downloaded/upgraded to 3.2, but still the same problem. I then upgraded the OS to 10.5.2 thinking it might be a Quicktime issue but no luck with that either.

I had this happen one time before and I called canon via their site ( which is a mess to navigate - IMO) and they helped me fix the problem. That is why I tried updating QT....but it didn't work. I wish I could remember the fix....... is it a Pref's file ? I repaired permissions..... no glory .....just baffled ?

Open to any ideas out there - thanks again!

Update....... tried a bunch of stuff until about 4am....... the only progress is now I have all black images - before the slide icons were all gray. Additionally, when I try to open DPP Pref's panel the application quits with an error message.

Should I ....backup > erase and install OSX 10.5 > start over ? May try on Saturday....uh today.

Try to reasign your monitor profile in the color management tab in Preferences. When i upgaded to Leopard i had the same gray boxes and if i remember well, reasigning my profile fixed my problem. Might work for you too!

I also have 3.2.0.6

RedpixL ! Thank you! Thank you! That seemed to fix it alright. I'm running DPP 3.1.0.5 after a bunch of deleting and re-installing ..... I'm wary of updating to 3.2 ..... might try after I sleep.

I really appreciate you commenting, it's 5:10 am and I figured I would look once more...the whole night wasn't a waste.... I learned something ;-) with your help.

Many thanks again,

Scott
