Sigma Warranty advice

I bought an Sigma item used and it is still under the original warranty. The warranty card is blank and I have a copy of the receipt.

However, the receipt has the original owners name on it. Will this be a problem? I am assuming that I should just tell them that I have moved and not clarify the name issue. The original owner knows about this problem so I don't need to worry about that aspect, only the Sigma aspect.

Any advice for this situation? Thanks in advance.

Check your warranty card and see if the warranty is transferable. Likely not.

The name issue upon warranty claim, may result in:

"OK, Joe bought this, but you didn't. You're repair cost is:..."

However, if lying is right up your alley, you could claim it was a gift.
