question about flashes

How do I set up my 580 EX with my 430 Ex as masters and slaves and at what settings>

At it's simplest set the 580EX to master and the 430 as slave, put the 580 on the hotshoe, position the 430 so that the front of it is facing the 580 (the 580 controls the 430 via light pulses) and off you go. Make sure both are tlking on the same channel. Set the camera to Av, Tv of P and the electronics do the rest.

If it an older 580 then use the switch at the bottom, if it's a mkII use the menu.
