PPA, ASMP, BBB?

I have a small buisness and professionally I have been doing weddings and senior pictures for a year now. Lately, I have had some brides/clients ask if I have any "credentials" or "affiliations". I have won several awards, I am insured backwards and forwards through my personal insurance company. but I think people just want to see some letters behind a name or something to that effect.

Any suggestions? I don't have tons of money JUST to become a member of several organizations for the affiliation alone, however I have been wanting to network in such a way, so I am not completely opposed to joining any particular one organization.

When they ask, returen the favor and ask if they have any? Just kidding. Affiliations are bought and paid for, some are worth something some are not. ASMP and PPofA have standard levels that each member strives to attain. So those affiliations have some perceived value to clients.

I know shooters who have lots of them and some with none, it just depends on what you want....
