I can't find the Sesor Clean option on my DRebel

So, I looked into cleaning my sensor by myself to get rid of a dust spot, but I can't seem to find the sensor clean option. In the instruction book, it shows two settings on the menu screen that holds sensor clean that just aren't on my camera.

Rather than looking like this:

Communication Normal
Clear All Camera Settings
Sensor clean.
Firmware Version

Mine looks like this:

Communication Normal
Firmware Version

Where can I find the Sensor Clean option?

Set your camera to one of the manual modes P, TV AV etc. then go into your menu to find the sensor clean option.

Did you detach the lens, like it says in the manual on page 34?
