NEW Sigma 18-125mm f3.5-5.6 DC (Canon mount) - Any Good?

Has anyone tried this lens yet? Any good for 300D? Someone offered me a new one at US$300. Is it a good price?

Not to great of a price since ebay has them for @ $225-250..

Lens wise its ok. has some viggnetting @ 18mm F3.5 but go to f4.0 or 4.5 and its ok then.

I have one in my 20d. Seems a good all-round lens. I paid £160 for it in Gibralter.
