Hi.

I haven't used my 300D for a little while now ('Disgraceful' I hear you say!) and was wondering if it could cause any problems leaving the batteries in or whether I should take them out. (When I say batteries rather than battery it is because I use a battery grip)

They have a good charge in them and I intend to recharge them before I next use the camera.

I just wondered if they could leak or anything like old batteries that were left in torches etc were prone to do.

Many Thanks for any info

I don't think that will pose a problem. Of coarse the batty will lose power over time but as long as the cam is stored in a dry environment your ok.

Of coarse the batty will lose power over time ...

I've seen estimates that a normally lithium ion battery will self-discharge by about 1% per day. That isn't much. I saw a sick battery that would self-discharge by about 30% per day.
