second time shooting this band first time was a couple years ago, and they have come on leaps and bounds since, was very impressed with them, they are punk, Rock, metal. etc etc.
Had to use Flash as even with my nifty fifty (1.8) and a hi ISO it still wasnt cutting it, so tried flash (Not ideal but eh).
Cheers.

Lighten up, Dude, people have things to do ... and I certainly never heard of these guys! So tell more about them and event. If you're not getting comments don't whine, figure out something so you get 'em! Oh, BTW, nice avatar!

Looks like crappy lighting...
#6 is nice, and #2 would have been if framed differently.

Hey Rene, Thanks for Crit. No.2 was taken on 50mm and there is NO room in the 'photo pit' so didnt have much/any room to play with, i kind of like the tighness in that one and the fact he looks lie hes "Gowing for it"
Bouncingnrg, Thank you

Using flash at a gig? I hate it but sometimes it has to be done :(

Yeah, but i spose it follows the convections of Metal/punk/rock photography, which isnt always good to follow it, but yeah sometimes you have to use it.
Well that made sence in my head LOL.
Cheers

To be honest I avoid using flash regardless of the act. You get a much better feel of the gig just from the stage lighting.

Unless of course, there is no stage lighting.

How often does that happen though? I have only ever shot one gig where there was not enough lighting and that was Dillinger escape plan and there whole lighting setup existed of stobes.

cheers Michael. i didnt want to much drag.
Burelly, i hate (HATE) using flash for gigs but if you have to then you have to, id rather do that than tell paying clients that there was no lighting to work with and then give up.
Cheers
