my first attempt at some engagement photos. very little editing has been done to these.

what do you think?

Hmm. For your first attempt at engagement photos, it was a great first try. I would have tried to avoid shooting on such a late hour, as you're relying a bit much on flash to illuminate everything. Perhaps shooting earlier on in the day (say 3-4PM) and using diffusers and reflectors to help bring out more natural light on the subjects would have been a better idea. Also, I might have done a tighter crop on the couple, and maybe different angles over their shoulders to show expressions on their faces more clearly.

first thing i would say...is have your models fill in the frame a bit more....theyneed to be the feature more then just something that is blending into the background....dont be afraid to zoom in....great start tho!

thanks for the responses.

the lighting was horrible this day and all these shots we're kind of rushed because the spent a lot of time earlier that day trying to get shots are different locations that we not so great.

The thing that gets me is the green poll in the first picture. It keeps my eye going to that instead of the subjects. Try leaning her on that poll and possitioning him around her.
