Thanks everyone.
How do I find the 1D Mark III for concert photos? Pretty damned good; the low noise/high ISO performance and the vibrancy of the colours is sensational - the AF is very good but it does take some adjusting to the AF but once you learn to use it is sensational. It's a bit like stepping into a new Ferrarri after driving minis all your life - you'll be able to drive it but it will take a bit of adjusting to to get the best out of it.

Yeah I moved over to the 5D from my trusted 30D and it will take some getting used to. Having to re learn my lenses as the crop is completly different.
It is all good though!

Quite nice.
I don't like the skintones too much though.

Thanks - and yes the skin tones were a little difficult, I didn't spend much time on post processing as they are in the main for my personal collection.

...the skin tones were a little difficult...
could you share your workflow for shots like those with mixed color stage lighting?

I shoot RAW.
I download them using Adobe Bridge.
I assign keywords in Bridge.
I load them into ACR and delete ones that are no good and mark the best using a star rating system.
I then go back to Bridge and sort by star - load into ACR again and correct white balance and make any tweaks needed there then I select all files and open them up in PS CS3 for any further adjustments, curves, levels, filters, B&W conversion, cropping etc and save the files as hi resolution jpgs.
I then run them through FastStone resizer to batch process resizing for web use and adding watermark and copyright text.
