I had a bridal session on Saturday afternoon, my first! I'm happy and sad at the same time. Other than the obvious, like blown dress/highlights, I "think" I'm headed in the right direction. :-\

I'm hoping you guys will give me some honest helpful critique. I really enjoyed the afternoon, but sometimes, it can get discouraging, when images get blown or just plain wrong.

Hmm. I'd have to say number 5 and 6 are the best of the current bunch. You could try going to photoshop and making an attempt at saving your blown highlights by using a curves and/or levels adjustment layer. If that fails, I'd attempt to try burning and dodging - the technique I use is a blank layer and then switching the layer's mode to Soft Light, getting a brush (usually a fair size brush will do well), and change the brush's opacity to about 8-10% and paint over your blown highlights using a "black" brush to burn, white brush to dodge.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Zansho! I'll have to try that.
