Tomorow I will go to NYC and take my Rebel and my Laptop with 30 GB free Space on it with me :D This year I've been 4 times in Paris, too.
So what about you ? Do you travel ? Do you travel "just for taking pictures" ?

I spent most of my life in the Cleveland area, only recently moving south to Tennessee. What part of town did you live in? I was in Parma most of my time up there, except for about 7 years in Middleburg Heights on the southwest side of Cleveland.

As I get older, I find travel is becoming more interesting. I haven't been to a great many places, but I intend to do so. There's so much to see out there.

I'm still trying to see all of New England.... In 40 years I think I've seen about 30%, but I've only been *looking* for the last year.

My wife and I took 10 months off work last year and spent our time travelling through Europe. My in laws live in Holland so we used this as a base and travelled through France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey and saw bits and pieces of Germany and Austria. This vacation was the cause of my photography bug and unfortunately I messed up a lot of photo opportunities early in the peace.
We're heading back for 4 weeks for Christmas this year and will be visiting Holland, Czech Republic and Austria, hopefully this year I can put some of my skills to work.
High on my list of places to go is Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon and get back to British Columbia one day.

I travel alot for work and my laptop and most of my gear go with me all the time. There are times when work does get in the way and you can't get out to actually do some shooting.
I do travel alot just to shoot. As an airline employee this makes it pretty affordable and does give me the opportunity to shoot some things that I probably wouldn't otherwise see. I didn't do as much as this as I wanted this summer but lookout next year.
I spent most of my adult life (that's a whole other discussion) in western Canada and moved to Montreal a few years ago. It is great exploring this area thought I am still hunting that elusive "secret" deer location.

It just dawned on me why we couldn't find the secret deer location up in Montreal. That's because the secret deer location is right in my back yard. Yup, there's this place near me on I-78 and Rt. 61 called Mt. Cabela's and they have all these photographer-friendly deers just standing there waiting for the opportunity to pose for pictures. Man, there must have been a dozen or two there. And they're so photographer friendly, they even have name tags so you don't have to bother looking in the deer book to ID them.
