Hey everyone Im new here and also learning as I speak. Here are a few shots I took, while being bored at home. Feel free to comment.:)

welcome to the forum, the shots a really good for a beginner, I like the #1 and #2. sorry but #3 just aint doing it for me. Im sure you'll learn a lot here.

Welcome to the forum :)- what lens are you using ?
shots of the lens cap are a bit like the duck shots obligatory for the telephoto lens first shots :)
As above- like #1 and #2- good demonstration of focus angles and limited DOF.

Thank you for commenting and yeah I was bored and I saw my telephone lol. As for what lens Im using. I kinda went overboard on the stuff but Im happy. I have the Rebel Xti with the 100mm macro from canon, the 24-70mm from canon and I also got a 25mm extension tube for my macro. Oh and the 100-400mm telephoto lens.

welcome to the forum,now sit in your garden for 30 mins and see what you can shoot,you can use the popup flash with the 100 (no hood) if you dont have a big flash

Welcome to the forum Danny! good call for your first shots. it should be a rule in the handbook (for whoever reads that thing) that your first shots have to be of the lens cap :)

have fun with your new camera setup! if you spend much time on here you will find yourself deep in dept! it is a slippery slope!
