This was taken at a water park where the water squirts up from the ground at random intervals, random places in random directions. The kids love it! I was hoping to capture youthful exuberance. I like the color one, but I also like how it came out in mono. Any thoughts?

Arm and forehead overexposed. But if you allow less light in this particular shot, shadows especially on face would be too dark. Perfect solution would be fill in flash. -But that's just me!

good capture, I like the background blur showing movment.
Maybe try dodging the eyes to bring out more color.

Eventhough I have a soft spot for B&W I really can't decide which one is better. Both are very good.
What I would like to see, if you ask me, is more of the background, to convy the feeling of movement more clearly. So if it was cropped, I'd suggest to crop it less.
Try it and see which one you like better.

Tough call.. the Color grabs my eye.. but the B&W hides the blown highlights...
But the B&W is not working for me here? Not sure why..
Tough call.
I like the Color.
You can try a super low opacity clone brush on a layer to attempt to touch up the burnt highlight.. if it bothers you.

I lean towards the color Rad....usually I like b/ws with this kind of photo but the colors are working well in the first shot....not sure why but I think the color makes him more "alive"...
I am wondering about Cyne's suggestion
"You can try a super low opacity clone brush on a layer to attempt to touch up the burnt highlight.."
How would you do that? I've never tried it and seems like a reasonable suggestion.

Odd man out here I guess, but I like the B&W one. I'm able to see the facial expression better. Just my 2 centavos worth.

Black and white: Better rendering of skin tones and the wrinkles of the shirt.
Color: Bright blue top is a nice color, but we loose some nice textures.
hmmm.... The blue takes up a lot of room, and almost overpowers the image, but on the black and white, that conflict is gone... Combined with the better skin tones, I would say the black and white is much better than color version.
As for the general composition, I think the composition is a too tight. We get conflicting indicators. The background is blurry, the arms are in running position, but he's looking back and mugging. There is a sense of missing story here. Is he running, spinning, dancing, or prancing around like a maniac? Can't really tell...
