Found this one while surfing. There have been plenty of horror stories on this board about some authority figure telling us we cannot shoot here or shoot this.

Interesting stuff. The best tip for run-ins with the police is to simply be polite. I've never had problems with photography, but I've been stopped 3 times for traffic violations. Politeness paid off, as I got off scott free each time :)
