For some reason this looks "off" to me. Maybe I'm too tired... Let me know if it looks OK...

The whole picture just looks too drab to me. There really isn't any contrast. Perhaps you could make the reds, oranges, and yellows brighter, so they really stand out... It's a nice picture though.

Boosting Saturation +20 helps a little, but i can't tell much with the low res version. Experiment with hue/saturation.

composition looks fine, I think it's the overcast sky that just sort of dulls the colors a little to much.

Thanks folks. I'll have to try playing with some stuff tonight. This may be an excuse to try a "Velvia" action for Photoshop, and put some color back into the sky.

Velvia? What's that?

I agree with the others -- the image needs some color depth.

Yup I think you nailed it. The sky is a little "dull". The composition is great, just needs a little *snap*.

Fujichrome Velvia is a type of film. It is often used in landscapes, as it creates incredible colors. It really just oversaturates the colors, but if used correctly creates incredible images. Pick up a coppy of Outdoor Photographer, and many of the pics will be with Velvia.
