I am looking into buying an SLR soon. I was looking at the 10D, D60 and the 300D (Rebel). I have heard many great things about the 10D and I was just wondering if the 10D is worth the money for the upgrade? I was also considering the Sigma SD9 (Because of the cencor that it has).

10D worth the upgrade from what? or are you talking about over the drebel, and d60? Why not get the 20D, its the latest and greatest in that lineup, and performs the best.

If I had to choose out of the 3 you listed, I would most definitly choose the 10D over the others. Below are some reasons;

-Low light focusing is better in the 10D than the D60
-Metal body and strong build does not even compair to the Drebel's plastic
-Can still get a new 10D, d60's will have no warrenty
-Drebel does not have the feature set of the 10D, although I'm pretty sure you can unlock them with a "hacked" firmware.

Nick

The reason I can't get the latest and gratest is because I dont have the money. The D10 is a stretch for me (money wise) but im willing to make it for the quality.

There should be a lot of good deals on 2nd hand 10D's right now as many owners have upgraded to 20D's.

Have a look here (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1988.html) at all the bad reviews they have gotten. Run away, run away !
