Okay....call me stupid. I can't figure out how to get my zenfolio photos organized the way I want. I'm getting the gallery, group, and collection names all confused. Basically I don't like the way the folder thing looks for groups, so I'm trying to avoid that. When you go to my home page I want the main categories to be seen, and then when you click on them sets.
For example on the home page you see family.....click on it then see......Ben's birthday, Christmas 2007, etc. Then when you click on those you would get all the pics of course.
If someone has the time I would appreciate some help. Or if there is a link that I missed when searching let me know.
Thanks

With mine i have all the gallery's on the main page such as sports, auotmotive then inside them i have more gallery's with the actual event names that then contain all the photo's. Pretty easy way of doing it. I don't use the groups or collection function as i don't like it. Have a look at mine www.turonphotography.com and click on the gallery link at the top.

Mark, that is just what I am after. How do you get a gallery inside a gallery?

Your Family would be Group, and Ben's Birthday, etc would be a Gallery. You can't have sub-Galleries, but you can nest levels of Groups.
Not sure what you don't like about the look of Groups. They can have photo images on them so they don't just look like vanilla folders.
See my ZF site as an example.

Thanks pmk, your site looks great. I can't get the picture on the folder, that's probably what is bugging me. It tells me to "move my mouse over any photo and use the menu to select as cover". But, when the family group is selected the only things showing are the galleries so I'm not having all the photos to choose from.
Thanks for your help.....sorry to be having such a hard time with this.

You have to mouse over the actual photo you want on the cover of the "group" folder to get the drop down menu with the option to "select as cover photo for'
I have mine set up this way as well, check it out

Okay, here is what I am seeing. I am able to assign photos to the cover of galleries, but can't seem to get it figured for groups. When I select the "family" group it doesn't show me all the photos, but rather just the galleries.

Go into one of the galleries. 'Mostly Madelyn' for example. Select any photo in the gallery and you can make it the cover photo for any gallery not just the gallery it is in. Select the gallery you want from the drop down structure list when you select 'Select as Cover Photo'.

Got it! I didn't realize it was going to give me a chance to see the drop down structure list. Thanks for all of your help.
