I really like this image and I would like your help to identify its weaknesses. I know a few of them, but would like your perspective. This will help me decide how I will use this photo.

Did you happen to get the same shot without the cloud shadow running through the middle of the picture? It would be interesting to compare. As it is, the shadow gives a dramatic separation between middleground and background - adding depth. Very nice image.

That would have been a very good idea Jim. Unfortunately, the wind picked up and so I gave up and left just after this image was taken.

Wow f29! How did you avoid all the sensor dust :) The 300D and 20D (and most the other canon SLRs) just LOVE their sensor dust at f11 and up.
That's a fantastic photo, a wide range of colors, excellent saturation (whether it's natural or not) and a very clear image throughout the depth of field. If I had ANY concern at all it would be that the image looks a little flat, hard to tell where anything is in relation to each other, but that's a .01 nitpick on a 99.99% image!

First of all, I had to stretch a bit because this is an excellent image.
But, it seems that the mid-ground looks a little soft and could use a little more sharpening. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more foreground grass - it's a little lost and is almost missed. The mountain on the right is a little bright. These are nuances, though - the final touches for *absolute* perfection.

I love it!
But I wonder what it would look like cropped horizontally with very little sky above and in the water? Is there much to the left or right? It could change the impact of the image. Not change for the better, mind you, but it might be interesting.
