Does anyone have any feed back on this device, including the 30 and 40GB units.

Just returned from Prague, a photographers paradise, I'm not sure how to post pics.

Hi Brian
Try going to "search" type FlashTrax and away you go.

I use a Flash Trax 30Gb model. I happen to like it very much and the support is excellent. The new firmware even displays my 1D MK-II RAW files.
I take over 1,000 shots at a motor race meeting, using 100% RAW, which is about 95 shots per 1GB card. I can download them all with 2 FlashTrax batteries, or about 5 to 6 1GB cards per battery. I would therefore suggest that you do buy a spare battery.
Download speed to the PC is very fast, over 8mb/s. So far it has proven 100% reliable even though mine is scratched and marked after being used heavily over the last year. I only buy gear that can withstand the use and abuse that my type of photography entails and can recommend the FlashTrax in this respect.

Recommendation seconded - I only have the 20Gb model but it does all I ask of it.
Note, the high speed data transfer Kenny speaks of is only possible if your computer has USB2, if the USB on the computer is 1 or 1.1 then the data transfer will be painfully slow, but that ain't the Flashtrax's fault ;-)

Does anybody know if it can read the 20D Raw files?

I have the 20gb version. I haven't used it nearly as much as Kenny G., but so far it has performed well.
Have Fun,

flashtrax has not come out with an update to support the 20D raw format yet.
The last update was to support 1DMkII raw, and since the 20D isnot quite the same format I would say that as of now it does not support the 20D's raw format.
I have the 40gb version and I am very pleased with it.
