Hello All,

I wanted to share something I've found, just help other out if they encounter this.

I am a happy Zenfolio user but since upgrading to premium package I have not been able to create pricelists. When ever I hit save nothing would happen, it was very frustrating to say the least. While I could do the operation in Firefox I couldn't in IE, my browser of choice.

So I opened a support ticket with Zenfolio. These guys were fantastic. They stuck with me for over a month working on this issue. Try this setting, could you look at this, etc., etc. Never once did I hear "you are the only user experiencing this, it must be something with you PC." Not once did they defer responsibility. Well, last night the mystery was solved...

It ends up that if you have McAfee Virus scanner it uses a Phishing filter when you serf the net. Well then the IE add-on for this filter is enabled I can't save new pricelists in IE. When I disable it everything is fine. My issue is not officially resolved as this is still a problem, but I now know what it is and how to work around it if needed. Further Zenfolio is taking this to their engineers to see if they can controll/correct this in their coding/application.

The short message of this long post is if you are using McAfee and Zenfolio Premium you might see this issue and now you'll know what it is. Further you'll also know that the support folks at Zenfolio are fantastic and will stick with you no matter what.

Sorry for the long post and have a great one today.

Zenfolio support is fantastic. Always quick responses and helpful, as you pointed out. I have seen some recent posts about EM vs Zenfolio. I believe that Zenfolio, while relatively new to the game, will be the standard that everyone looks to when all is said and done. They respond to consumer wants and needs and put out a very good product.

After a day of the trial period last December I quickly dropped PBase, there is no comparison. Now if Zenfolio could only implement a "comments" feature, that would be great. They have indicated that it should be soon.

Their premium package is very impressive. I like the fact that you can create different price lists and also create coupons for your customers to use.

McAfee antivirus is one of the worst antivirus programs around (very hard on system resources and very intrusive) and it's something I would never install on any computer I build. There are a few good free alternatives (AVG, Avast! and AntiVir) and one good pay-for alternative (NOD32) that don't cause nearly as much problems as McAfee and Norton's.

Yep, I'm learning that. It just eats up all my system resources and is constantly telling me to turn on more protection, etc., etc. Drives me nuts.
