Very nice to see the high-vis super bugs. I was out at Yuma hoping to see them last year, wasn't in the cards for me. :(

We shot the Blue Angels practice also this day which was very cool. But I think sitting at the LSO box was more fun :)

Are you in the Navy? In the '70's I was a GCA RADAR tech at NAS Miramar. Some stories, there.

How about standing behind the LSO's on the runway? Look up threads titled 'Yuma'. ;)

They did their best to try and blow us off the runway :D There is only 2 things that have shook me like this, one being top fuel drag racing and now these afterburners, all I gotta say is WOW!

Nice Pictures!
I live in El Centro, California. It is fun to see the Blue Angels practice every day overhead. I have been tempted to get on top of the building at work and take a few pictures of them.
A friend of mine at work told me about an article he read in the local paper about an “Amateur Photo Day” last week at the base. I figured I would find a few pictures on at least one of the forums I go to, and here they are.
Although I have never done an air show before, I am looking forward to taking a few photos at their 2008 debut show here in El Centro in a couple of weeks.

I know what you mean...I am a retired Air Force Air Traffic Controller and use to love being right by the runway when the F-16 took off. Your whole body shook.

Really nice pics! The "rudders" in the first pic are in a rather curious position. Both are turned inboard. Someone who knows aircraft enlighten me please. Thanks.
