Hi all,
I have a G7 bought in Vegas Xmas 2006 as a gift for myself. It has not been used professionally or even "in anger" ...only for the odd holiday and my daughters christening.
Just last night I brushed off the dust to take a couple of pics and the autofocus has suddenly become very noisy. When the button is half depressed and the AF is scanning it makes a loud "brumbling" noise, once it gets focus the noise stops. I presume as its just out of 12 month warranty (clever how thye do that) I cannot return it for repair.
Anyone know of this fault and is it worth fixing. Seems like an awful lot of money for me to waste if the G7 is soon to die on me!
