That's the reason I boil beets ;)
I like the splatter effect. If it was darker & deeper in colour it could almost pass for high velocity blood splatter....yeah, I've been watching too much CSI ;)

I usually nuke the beet as it takes less time to cook. I love it with feta cheese.

If it was darker & deeper in colour it could almost pass for high velocity blood splatter....

If I am a bit more proficient in PS, I may be able to do that :).
