I just ordered Sekonic L-358 with RT module. For the wireless part in the manual they refer to "pw" as a wireless receiver.
Can anyone tell me if sekonic RT can trigger something cheaper than PWs?
thanks

Not that I am aware of. Pocket Wizards are the industry standard and have their own frequencies.

Any trigger system transmitter with an optional PC cord connection can be hooked up to a light meter. This would include PocketWizards, Elinchrom Skyports, Cactus sets and most of the others I'm familiar with. Obviously this isn't as handy as a built-in module since it would involve a cord to connect two components. But it will work.

A more practical approach is to use the Sekonic in cordless flash mode while pressing the transmitter test button with your other hand.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but do you know if the sekonic will trigger both european and US frequencies on the pocketwizard?

The frequencies used in radio devices are specific to countries or regions so the the meter you have would only trigger PW unit having the same frequency as your meter. A US meter would not be able to trigger European PW units.
