Apologies if this has been asked before, had a quick search, but didn't find the answer.

I'm wanting to fire the studio flash with a hotshoe mounted wireless trigger (rather than using the cable from camera to flash unit), presuming the trigger is either infra red or radio frequency.

Anyone know what kind of units should be looked at, and what pitfalls to avoid?

Thanks

I just bought some pocket wizards and fell in love with them. I pulled over my white lightning at a wedding trying to move too far from the light. It hit a tile floor and broke the flash tube and bent my reflector. Luckily, everything else works. At that point I said, lets get rid of these pain in the butt cords I've been using for 30 years. I've shot several jobs with the pocket wizard pluses and no misfires. They are fantastic!!!! I've had quantum radioslaves and white lightning and I hate to say but both sucked. Pocket wizards are the only way to go.
