Ok I have seen all your shots and have decided I really need better lenses.

Ideas on how to sneak it past the mrs welcome (she's and accountant too)
All my pics look so pants compared to yours but I thought I provided amusement through the day as we got soaked and covered in mud, I should at least provide some after the event by letting you see some of the "better" pis.

We decided this looks a good spot, corner, slippery, puddle all the ingredient for a good rally shot.

No worries Dan - came out of the washing machine looking like new ;)

These shots look good, you've caught the action very well.

You've certainly caught some good action, Dan. As for the "mud camouflage"... it might just catch on!

nice work Dan, Andy looks pretty chuffed with his new gear.

Don't beat yourself up... they're some pretty good shots! I like the splashy Hyundai and the Pug.

Another great shot of Dodd, splashing through the mud :)

Andy hanging out to dry made me chuckle

Cheers for the comments, I am trying to work out if it is lack of ability to hold the camera still, lack of knowledge of how to use the camera, or just the basic gear isn't going to give the same quality as some of the shots i see about. I set myself high standards, and fail to achieve them often. So thanks for the +ive comments.

That will probably be the last time i am behind a camera racing now until, Germany in May and then rallies at the end of the season. So i don't get too much practice.

The trick is that you never, ever hold the camera still when shooting motorsport. ;)

Like these Dan! Very good action captured, think the disco is my favourite!
They with the 90-300mm, i got some ok shots with that lens at rallies, but now have the 70-200f4. That should be better lol ;)

I want the Sigma 70-200 2.8 but i don't want a divorce.

Glen I understand the comment but taking pictures like Mohammed Ali really doesn't help ;)

anyway onto the circuit racing now, REAL racing
