A while back some one posted a recommendation of a book about printing with PS. I can't for the life of me find the thread and can't remember what the book was called - anyone got a better memory than me?

Blatner & Fraser's "Real World Photoshop CS" covers a lot of printing among other things. Much of the printing section, though, covers CMYK, color seperation, screening, etc. Not as much on home/inkjet printing.
It's a great book and highly recommended, but this may not be the book you're thinking about.

You may be referring to Rob Sheppard's book, Epson Complete Guide to Digital Printing (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1579904270/002-4595847-4586455?v=glance)
