Please...

I'm shooting some local racetrack shots...and the drivers are really expressing interest in shots of their cars, but would like there to be a black/white checkered border around the print.

I know this has to be quite simple...but so far, I can't figure out where to find an action or how to create my own in PS. I'm needing it for 8x10 prints.

Surely someone here can make it clear for me...Please?

Thanks in advance:)

How about taking a picture of a Checkered Flag and using that image in PP to "layer" it around the car? Just a thought.

Go to preferences and setup your gride depending on how large your canvas is. Say a gridline every 10 pixels or 30 pixels or 50 pixels.

Then go to View, Show grid if it is not visible. You can now easily select each square and fill it with white and black. Just do two lines then you can duplicate to create a full canvas of black and white blocks.

Make a small jpg the size of the frame you want and fill in four squares black and white. Go to edit and "define pattern" Then use the wand to mask the area you want and fill with the pattern.
