I have been fighting with my 1D for the last four hours trying to get my Mac to see it. All the drivers have been updated including the firmware. Is there something that I might be missing?

Did you install the D60 software. If you did, you need to take it out of extentions and all other folders. I had this same problem and called Canon. It was fixed in no time. Good luck. Michael

Dear Gomez,

I have had the same problem having Windows find my camera. Called Canon, they said to unistall all software. download the three current files.

Raw Image Converter
The 453 Driver (for Mac in your case)
Remote Capture

Unzip and install all of these before connecting your camera to the computer. Then connect the camera and turn it on.

The computer should find the camera and do the rest.
This fix did not work for me, but according to Canon, the 1D was never designed to work well with Windows. Maybe it will work for you.
