So I'm a very amateur photographer. I've been shooting for almost a year, and have only recently began to experiment with angles, lighting, exposure, etc.
Let me know what you guys think!

I'm really into shooting cars, and since I hang around with a bunch of people with Subaru's, that's usually what I'm shooting.
Any comments, critiques, helps, & death threats are more than welcome!

hehe, I started playing with HDR a little, pretty fun, but I prefer straight shots.
As for the corvette, my camera was having a real hard time focusing and metering on the black of the corvette, the original picture actually looked a lot worse than that, but once again, photoshop helped me salvage what I could of it...

Wow.. your girlfriend drives a STi? I rarely see any girls driving STi's, Evo's etc.

yeh, i got her into it, and she's kinda ran with it. Now her car looks better and is faster than mine. She's planning on going beyond autox this year and doing some track events. We live about 10 minutes from laguna seca, so that's what she's set her eyes on.

Yeh, to be honest, I think it was a combo of 3 things, one I'm pretty amateur, and this was an early shot for me, two I think my hand was over the light sensor, and 3, i was shooting in auto mode if I remember correctly, I think setting some settings would've helped it out.

i guess you saved the best for last.
the first one is nice, the second is HDR overkill.
the others are ok.
I want to see more from you.

Hehe, Yeah, some of my friends were really into the overkill HDR, so I did a few shoots on their cars.
The last one is probably my latest attempt. Too bad that damn place is guarded by 24/7 security, so I have to drive up, get out, take pics before they say something stupid or get in front of the car, then leave before they take down the license plate of the car I'm in and/or call the cops.
I've got more, just none here at work. I'll post some more later.

i can see why they like it. it looks like its a demon from another world.
too bad that place is so highly guarded. If you could get other "poses" it would be sweet.
what HDR technique did you use for the first image?
Subyn00by

just auto exposure bracketing, then HDR'd using photomatix. Nothing tricky.

Thank you kind sir.
It's actually the location with the great lighting, there is a flor. light every like 2 feet about 20 feet in the air, and they go from the doors to about 50 feet behind me...such a great location. freakin security.
