I recently saw a high def movie called One Six Right. WOW, beautiful aviation imagery. Anyone who has a romance with aviation should watch this movie. Great still shots of great planes. Very inspiring to any aviation buff photographer. Check it out, and buy the DVD, great way to get through winter. www.onesixright.com

You should see it in HiDef. They showed it in HD with surround sound at the AOPA convention in Palm Springs fall of '06 on a theater sized screen. It was awesome.
I think I'm on my thrid copy having worn out the first two DVDs...

Well, now that HD-DVD has bit the dust I'm hoping they will re release on Blu-Ray. I also have the companion DVD "One Six Left" which is almost as good as One Six Right. Apart from the "movie" there are great still shots. Very inspiring. Highly recommended.

Van Nuys airport runway 16 Right.
Runways are named after the magnetic heading they are aligned with.
Since there are two parallel runways at Van Nuys they are respectively 16R and 16L.

what is the meaning of the title?
Airport runways are named for the nearest magnetic heading along which they lie. If there are multiple runways, they are usually assigned "L" for left, "C" for center and "R" for right.
In this particular case, "One Six Right" reffers to the the right-hand runway at the Van Nuys, California airport that runs 160 degrees magnetic (the other end of the runways [the reciprocal heading] are 340 degrees so they are called runway 34L and 34R.)
It's a pilot thing: To hear the friendly voice of your local controller clear you to land on a familiar runway at your home airport after a long flight is a very good thing.
16R at Van Nuys is now the most requested runway by pilots (even those just "passing through") so that they can make note of having landed on it in their log books.
