First real photo shoot with my new dSLR. Very excited with the outcome. The post processing was kept to a minimum, as I am not THAT great with Adobe CS2. I am working on it though so I figure it will improve in the future. Also below is my firs attempt at creating an HDR image. I shot it bracketed at –2/0/+2 and for a first attempt I don’t think it is too bad. I think it would be a better HDR if there was more going on as the photo is not too exciting. On to the pics!

I have to ask, what are the wiskers in the front for? Are they some kind of adjusters for an air dam?

It is hard to see because of the shadows as all light was from overhead but it supports the track splitter and underpanel.

All I could think was "What are those rods coming from the front bumper?"

See above post :)
It supports the track splitter so it does not get ripped off at track speeds.

So do you race it or are they just for effect?

They are kind of an eye sore on the while car. Maybe paint the shafts of them white? In your case it looks like it's more function rather then form on having them there. So as long as it's a racer it looks all good. Nice shots!

Sweet M3. E36s are one of my favorite years. The white balance looks a little off to me. The first couple of shots look cold and the rest are really warm. I still like them though!

The first couple of shots look cold and the rest are really warm. I noticed that t6oo. FYI, "cool" means too blue, & "Warm" means too magenta (in this case).
If you need to fix the CB on just the car, try Layer Masks:

The car sits in my garage unless I am at the track. So function over form in this case :)
My biggest issue with taking pics right now is the white balance. None of the presets ever seem to be correct. I tried to put some correction in CS2.
I think they turned out decent :)

Splitters work well when the car has a full underbody pan for aerodynamics. Without the pan, they're pretty much show and not go. I like the shots, nice job.

Not a "full" underbody but everything in the front...

First and foremost - nice car. I like the spoiler/rear detail shots. I'd love to see some photo's of this on the track (unlikely since you can't drive and take photo's at the same time).

Negative. He might have more speed in the corners but not near the handling!
