What's the difference between DG and DC. Read the brochure, but the description sounds the same.

Thanks

Found the info. The DC is for digital cameras. But what exactly does that mean.

Thanks

I believe that DG designates "optimized for digital", while DC designates lens that only work with an APS sized sensor. In my opinion, the DC designation has a very specific meaning, while DG is a label that the Sigma marketing department can attach to just about any lens.

From the other thread (by Bodog) it seems the DC work only with 1.6 cropping cameras. Does that mean the DG works with all digital cameras, regardless of the cropping.
