I have seen the many many post on cleaning the sensor. I feel pretty confident on doing that, but I have seen nothing that addresses the mirror, or the viewfinder(the field where the auto focus points are) Theses seem to be the spots were I get most of my dust bunnies. Is it safe to use all the other methods mentioned for the sensor. Can I use those on the mirror and view finder as well?

Most do not recomend it. I have never cleaned the mirror or viewfinder with anything other than a blower. Sometimes it get blown out sometimes it just moves. The good news is it does not affect the image. I used to worry about it but I've gotton over it. :D

On old non AF cameras the mirror is far more durable as it is simply that. A mirror.

On todays cameras there is a very thing layer where your AF sensors sit (under). Rubbing it can damage this sensor. Just use a blower. In the end dust in these two places do not effect your image so dont get too worried about it.

Blower only. Never touch either the mirror or focus screen. The dust tends to come off these a lot easier than it does the sensor. Just make sure you point the camera downwards.
