Help..580ex problem !!

Hi,

The last couple of occasions that I've used my 580 with my 20d, the flash has massively overexposed the photos, after removing and attaching it again, it has worked ok, (same settings) although not always on the first occasion

Has anyone else suffered a similar problem, I was thinking that it might be an issue with the contacts but having spoken to a canon guy today he didn't seem to think that would be the issue.

Any help appreciated.

Several people have reported similar issues when the camera is not fully pushed in and seated properly in the hotshoe. There have also been cases where the hotshoe screws had come loose so that the hotshoe was lifting off the body a tad and breaking the connection to the flash.

Thanks for the reply Leo, that would make sense as when the flash has been removed and attached again its been fine.
