Hi, I have been searching of a free web hosting service, but all of them are really bad. Does anybody know about a good, or fair at least, free web host???? What do you recommend if I want to build my own website, where I can not only exhibit photos, but also articles of interest etc.
I m also lookingfor a script to protect my pictures from unwanted downloads.
Thanks

Well I always recommend going to webhostingtalk.com and checking out their forums. You can post a request for a free host, someone might bite as longs as they can advertise on your pages.. but it's not very expensive to get a decent host.. you can get at least 5gb of traffic and 100mb HD space for like $2 a month.

Sounds like you want some type of java script that will display your pictures but disable the right click button.
I'm not familiar with a script but you should be able to find one.

Well there is only one sure way of doing that!
Don't upload to the web.
If a user can see the photo it already has been downloaded locally and the user can do whatever he/she wants and any javascript that disables save as is useless.
The best You can do is make sure the photos You have on the web is in low resolution and a quality that suits web but not printing.

Forgot about that aspect. Any script that disables the save as function still does not block someone from going into their internet cache files and searching for the picture.

I believe this is the only way to do it. If you make the pictures of low enough quality that it is not worth the time to print it then people won't steal your pictures.

Thanks for you taughts, I already set the correct resolution, low enough to keep them safe from printing, and Iam working on a web site that will be open to the public soon. I have visited some of your links, and found some great options for hosting.
