Started to rain just as they entered the 6 lap circuit of the Rose Bowl. Glad I was weather sealed.

Tom Zirbel soloed 3 laps only to get caught with half lap to go.

I got soaking wet and left without getting any podium shots. Oh well Redlands is in a month.

Very nice series. Your panning shots look great. The rain did add some nice effect too.

Excellent shots Dan-O! All the panning shots look great. Happy that George was able to pull off a last minute win. May I ask, what did you use to protect your equipment from the rain?

Dan-O, those panning shots were great! Were you using the 24-105 with the IS on? What shutter speed?

Thanks! 1-2-3 are 24-105 @ 100s. I switched it on and off so I'm not sure if it was on or off. I usually keep it off. 4-5 are with 70-200 2.8 @ 250s.

what did you use to protect your equipment from the rain?

Nothing really. I keep one of those cheap ponchos in my backpack for emergencies, so I used that to some extent. Everything got pretty wet though.
