Autumn on a graveyard

Took this picture a rainy day and tweaked the featureless sky a bit to get a more ominous look, do you like it? Do you think I should crop the foreground?

I like the uncropped version. The leaf-covered road that leaves the photo in the bottom right corner but is picked back up in the bottom of the photo adds to it I think.

I think the uncropped version looks better in the sense that it follows the rules and is a better composition. However, to heck with the rules. The cropped version still has very good composition and looks better since it has a lot more mood and less clutter that's not pertinent to the scene or mood.

So I like the second shot much better.

I personally think I like the original version, it feels more open whereas the cropped version feels a bit "boxed-in" to me. They both work though and maybe I wouldn't have felt this way about the cropped version if I hadn't already seen the first version.

It's funny I was going to suggest that crop and then I read the next post. I think with the crop it gives the feel that the graveyard goes on forever and the mist adds to that.
