I just started playing more with PSE5 last night and learning how to build my library and start tagging images. My problem is that I don't know if I'm going to stick with PSE or switch to Lightroom. Additionally, I am itching to switch to Mac and will consider Aperture when I do. Now most of my older pics are jpegs, and I gather from http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=288034&highlight=library+tags that I can write my tags directly to my jpeg files. My newer images are all Raw and that same thread indicates that I can't write the tags to the raw files. If I switch from an Adobe program to iPhoto and/or Aperture, will I be able to transition my library without having to retag everything? I have 9700 pics, which I know isn't as much as many around here have, but still a huge undertaking and I want to know I'm not wasting time before I dive in. Thanks for any help.
