Very nice car. Superbe handling and power band. Truely a masterpiece of bmw!

I do not like my image but wanted to post them for some pointers working with flashes and cars.

The car is dirty and snowing...These are just practice shots.

the B&W white ones look good, but the car disappears into the backdrop

the third one, i like a lot, just level it out some and call it good!

Pictures 1 and 3 are great. The color falls in background of the second Picture...

You should have got the 335xi TT

one flahs camera left. Bare.

I could not get the proper lighting for the front end right...always a big flash spot and too much light...

ya.. you can't use just a single speedlite to light up a car in a single frame unless you paint the car. Also your shooting black car so that even harder.

JDMOTO:
I was trying to use 2 flashes at the same time but the one for the front was making too much of a spot on the car.

I will need to pratice this type of shooting with my onw car this summer...

I'm not seeing any personality. It's a black hole just sucking up light?
Look at your shots, & then look at these black cars. Do you see why I don't recommend that people use flash?

A "GREAT car": '69 Plymouth Road Runner 440 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=323643)

Yes it can be done, but it's about two orders of magnitude harder & takes 40 times longer than using natural light. For me, easier & faster is good. ;)

These are not the type of images that I am looking at creating There's nothing wrong with "edgy" shots, but if the subject is a car, shouldn't you try to make it look as good as possible?

imo theres too much contrast boost in the pics causing all the details in the shadows to be taken out. i cant even make out the door -.-

then again, shooting black cars is a pain :)

ahh well thats okay cause i mean there is a huge difference in the 330 and the 335. I work at a BMW dealership in Missouri. How much did u spend (i know this is totally irrelevant).

335xi is BTTW Fast

man you can't even tell the second flash fired on the last photo. Anyways the best way would fired it into the snow to refect back from the car. this would gave the body line something to reflect back. that would been my move, but them I would had to smoothen out some of the snow.
