From be it from me to wax poetic, but I really feel a change has taken place in me ever since I got my first camera 1 year ago today.

When I look out the window, I don't just see what the weather is like, I look at the colours, the way things are situated and think hmm, f3.5 or F4.0 (just kidding).
I look around me and see how everything lines up and imagine a little rectangle around everything I look at.
I look very closely at trees, leaves, bugs, buttons or coins on the counter, my wife, my son, my parents at small gatherings and think, damn, that would make a nice shot.

Even when a camera is not in my hand, I still look at life around me as if I was looking through the viewfinder, I truly analyze everything more closely than ever before.

For 29 years life has completely passed me by, I wish I would have paid A LOT more attention to my surroundings and as I look back I wish I could do it all over again, the last year has been the biggest eye opener of my life.

Happy 1 yr (and 7000 pictures) owning a camera anniversary to me.... :D

Consider yourself lucky. Change the "29" to "39" and I could say the same exact thing!

Just to share this little story, my work office over looks a car park, and since we are going to summer here in NZ :) well I was looking out the window one sunny day and looking at the sun reflecting from the cars creating little points of bright light & the first thing that I had thought was.
"those points of light would show up as over exposed I take this as a photo"

haha, this is a wonderful thread. I suffer from the same desease. But sometimes I even start to feel guilty when I don't have a camera in my hand. It's like, goodness I'm missing a good shot that I'll never get to keep again. It's sort of like, I have another job to do when I have free time. But it's worth it, because I have more past recorded than my colleagues. That is past that everyone will forget. It's almost as magical as time travel or something.
