I haven't put in many photos on this forums with exception to a couple sporting things but I felt that I needed to share this photo. A few years back while on a small family reunion I was able to catch one of those priceless moments that you really don't get to witness between a father and his son. With no regard to what is going on around him, my cousin Louis just held his son Quentin close while riding on a pontoon boat on the way to dinner. Quentin was about 15 months(?) old at the time. The thing about this photo that makes it so special although bittersweet is that Quentin passed away a few months later in a horrible drowning accident. He was 18 months... The first photo shows the original photo while the 2nd is the finished image. This was the first time I had in my head exactly what I wanted to produce and was lucky enough to capture it. I just wish that seeing the photo wouldn't bring up sadness. Anyway, I hope you enjoy...

The time will come when your cousin will be glad to have this picture.

Sorry for the heart-ache, I cannot imagine, only guess at the pain.

Thanks. He also has a daughter who was/is the big sister. So his life isn't incomplete, but we can't imagine what it is truly like.

A beautiful picture, heartbreaking though, knowing the situation. As a father of 2 boys, both of whom I love dearly, one who I almost lost at 16 months through a sudden illness, I can certainly feel for that family. Please convey my deepest sympathies to the family on their loss. Although the picture will stir up feelings which we be difficult to deal with, especially in the near future, it will also be a source of comfort in the days to come.

God bless, and may their faith help them to find strength.

Jim
